ICO: Sleeping

...Remind me to never attempt an artwork that involves greylead shading, scenery and fanart. I have spent FAR too much time on this.

ICO is an amazing game. The relationship between Ico and Yorda is just beautiful... and I don't think I've ever cried so much at a video game.

In-game, the stone seats are save points; when you next switch the game on, Ico and Yorda are sleeping - it's so sweet, and I really wanted to draw it, and so I did this. ^_^

Originally it was going to be a coloured piece, but just developed into a greylead piece somewhere along the way. Scenery is hard to do. I had particular trouble trying to separate the seat from the wall behind it - I'm still not quite happy with it. Any suggestions? (or does it look fine as it is?)

The sepia tone was added using Photoshop. I've only just learnt how to do this; I really like the effect! It suits the game, I think. (The game manual has illustrations in sepia as well.)
